The Westminstnumerous memorials. It can be traced way back in the 15th century in which it had been build. To date, it is named an architectural masterpiece and its history is being studied. It is a usual venue for royal gatherings and coronations and is being supervised by the crown in lieu of the diocese.
The Collegiate Church of St Peter at Westminster, which is always referred to popularly and informally as Westminster Abbey, is a giant, chiefly Gothic church, in Westminster, London, to the west of the Palace of Westminster. It is the traditional place of coronation and burial site for English, later British and later still (and currently) monarchs of the Commonwealth Realms. It briefly held the status of a cathedral from 1546-1556, and is a Royal Peculiar.
