Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island Ferry Ticket

The Statue of Liberty, a National Monument protected by the United States National Park Service, was first given to the United States as a token of goodwill from France in 1886, thanks to the original idea of Edouard de Laboulaye, who saw the country as an international beacon of hope for having abolished slavery after the Civil War. The Statue of Liberty now stands as an international symbol of freedom and democracy, giving particular comfort to Americans, and pride to New Yorkers, in the post-September 11 era.

It’s one of the most recognized landmarks in the world, and symbolic of all the values that have come to represent the United States. The Statue of Liberty, and its neighbor, Ellis Island, are the most desirable tourist destinations in the country, and this ferry ticket, which allows access to both, gives you no excuse to pass up a visit!
